RFID credit cards

JWZ has been doing some thinking about wireless credit cards. Eminently worth a read.

Perhaps I’m just becoming a Luddite, but how does having your money sitting on a chip in your pocket that is readable by anybody with a scanner without you knowing it not freak people out?

Is taking out your credit card, swiping it, then signing the receipt really such a pain point for people?
